FOR YOUNG USERS AND FAMILIES

Supporting families is very important for the Hungarian government. Preventing children from the threats of the cyberspace in one of the focus points of the Digital Success Software Package.  To fulfill this requirement, the firewall in user profiles designed for young users is set up to block those pages that would present inappropriate or dangerous content for children. User experience is enhanced by extensions added to the user interface. In addition, a special link collection is added to the browser that would serve the needs of children and also support parents with electronic channels for public administration.

The user accounts intended for children have firewall settings that block the harmful web pages (e.g. those containing violence or adult content). The web browser is set up with categorized bookmarks pointing to entertainment websites organized into different categories. In addition, the user accounts designed for families contain other useful extensions. For example, one can find shortcuts at the bottom of the desktop to various graphical applications, such as scanning, drawing, image browsing, etc.The bookmarks of the web browser also contain important links for accessing electronic administration channels.

There is a button at the bottom of the user interface showing the current weather conditions and also a weather forecast. An automatic updater takes care of the download and installation of current updates for the Digital Success Software Package and a built-in virus scanner ensures a safe internet browsing experience.
